To get started, you'll need to tap ‘Pay’ from the panel at the bottom of the screen.
You can also find the option to make a payment from your account screen. Once you’re in the account you want to pay from, tap the three dots in the top right hand corner and then tap ‘Pay’.
You'll be taken to this page where you'll add in the details for the payment. You'll need to tap on ‘From’ to add in the account that you want to make the payment from.
You'll see a list of all your accounts that you can make payments from. You can then tap on the account that you want to make the payment from.
Now you’ve chosen the account you want to pay from you can tap ‘To’ to choose where you want the money to go.
You’ll see a list of your payees to choose from. You’ll also have the option to add a new payee.
If you tap 'Add new payee', you'll be able to add in the details of the new person you want to pay and tap ‘Continue’.
Once you’ve entered the information you’ll be taken to the ‘Pay’ screen where you can review the account information. You’ll also be able to enter an amount and reference.
You can check the details of the payment and tap ‘Confirm payment’. If any details are incorrect, you can change them now.
For extra security we’ll send you an OTP when you pay someone new. You'll have the chance to check that your number is correct and then once you have received and entered the OTP you can tap ‘Submit’.
- Never share a Santander One Time Passcode (OTP) with another person, not even a Santander employee.
When you see this screen, the payment has been sent and the payee created. The next time you go to pay this person the payee will appear in your ‘To’ list. If you won't be paying the same person again you should delete the payee.
From this screen you can also choose to ‘Share payment confirmation’. This lets you send an image containing details about the payment you’ve just made, through SMS, email, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
